Perris Records Confirms HELIX’s Scrap Metal Release for January 23, 2026

TORONTO, CANADA (December 12, 2025)Perris Records proudly announces the upcoming release of HELIX’s new full-length album Scrap Metal, arriving January 23, 2026. Digital singles launch with “Stuck In The 80’s” on December 12 and “Fast & Furious” on December 19. This marks the band’s 14th release with Perris Records.

HELIX recently wrapped a Canadian tour with Nazareth on the Bending the Rules farewell run. Scrap Metal features five previously unreleased tracks that capture the band’s signature 80s sound, plus five classic HELIX tracks selected from releases such as Old School, Half-Alive, and B-Sides.

The first single, “Stuck In The 80’s,” features guitarist Sean Kelly (Gilby Clarke, Coney Hatch, Lee Aaron). While many legacy acts rely strictly on nostalgia, HELIX continue to write, record, and evolve, staying true to their hard-rock roots.

Brian Vollmer on the Creation of Scrap Metal

“SCRAP METAL started out as an afterthought and morphed into a full-fledged album. During the ’80s HELIX had written several very good songs that were never released. I decided to finish them and also add a new track written with Sean Kelly entitled ‘Stuck In The 80’s,’ which seemed to sum up the project.

I chose Aaron Murray and HELIX bassist Daryl Gray to produce, as both had worked on previous HELIX releases. Aaron comes from a strong production lineage and Daryl produced Old School. Sean Kelly, along with HELIX guitarists Mark Chichkan and Christopher Julke, also became heavily involved, and former guitarists Kaleb Duck and Brent ‘The Doctor’ Doerner contributed as well. Once everything came together, we realized we had something very special. STUCK IN THE 80’S indeed!”
