Of Monsters and Men finally returned to History Toronto on December 5 for the rescheduled Mouse Parade Tour date. The October show ended early when Nanna lost her voice, so this night carried some extra weight for the fans who had held onto their tickets. The sold-out venue was packed tight, and throughout the night people kept shouting “We love you!” whenever the band paused to talk, clearly happy to be there and see the band back in Toronto.
The band stood centered on stage, with circular lights resembling umbrellas positioned behind them, glowing in soft colours. Vertical fabric strips framed the back of the stage, giving the space a gentle, atmospheric backdrop that complemented the band without pulling attention away from the musicians, with Nanna and Ragnar at the center.
A few songs into the set, Ragnar told the crowd this was the last show of the tour before the band headed home. Nanna followed by saying, “We saved the best for last,” which drew one of the loudest reactions of the night. You could feel the room lift after that moment.

Fans sang along often, but “Empire” stood out — everyone nearby was singing along, and it could be heard throughout the venue. At the front barricade, a fan held a sign that read “Welcome back OMAM” with a heart underneath — a small gesture that showed them how happy she was.
Before playing “From Finner,” Nanna and Ragnar talked about how the song had made them believe in the band early on, and the lyrics about being far from home but happy resonated clearly with the crowd as they sang along.
Even though I missed most of Josie Edwards’ opening set due to traffic, it’s worth noting why she’s been getting attention. She’s a young folk-pop artist whose breakout single “Good Girls” has been picking up serious momentum online. Her set included songs like “The Great Escape,” “New House,” and “Kitchen Light,” and from the reaction of the early arrivals, plenty of people already knew her work.
Of Monsters and Men closed out the night strong, and the crowd stayed loud until the final notes. After everything that happened in October, this show felt like the proper ending Toronto was supposed to get the first time. It was a good night for the band, and an even better one for the fans who waited for it.
