The Pretty Reckless Announce Fifth Studio Album Dear God & 2026 World Tour

Record-breaking, multiplatinum rock band The Pretty Reckless have begun an explosive new era with the announcement of their forthcoming fifth studio album Dear God, arriving June 26. Alongside the announcement, the band has released the new single “When I Wake Up,” out now via Fearless Records.

Marking the beginning of a new creative chapter, Dear God embraces vulnerability, intensity, and artistic freedom, inviting listeners into one of the band’s most raw and uncompromising records yet. The band approached the album with a renewed commitment to authenticity, creating a record defined by honest performances and diaristic songwriting.

The high-octane new single “When I Wake Up” explores a new sound for the band while staying true to what has become their signature style: searing guitars, thunderous drums, and the unmistakable powerhouse vocals of frontwoman Taylor Momsen.

Speaking about the song and the new album, Momsen said:

“When I Wake Up is the story of a dream becoming a nightmare. When a life of excess leads you on a rollercoaster that is doomed to crash but you just can’t see it. It’s a good time…”Touring with AC/DC in 2026

In addition to their own headline tour, The Pretty Reckless will spend much of 2026 on the road supporting AC/DC on the extended Power Up Tour across North America. The massive stadium run includes Canadian stops in Montreal at Parc Jean-Drapeau and Toronto at Rogers Stadium.

Between those stadium performances, the band will also play select headline club shows as part of their own Dear God Tour.

Ottawa Headline Show at History

One of those stops will see The Pretty Reckless perform September 13 in Ottawa at History, giving fans a chance to see the band in a more intimate setting between the major stadium shows with AC/DC.

The Ottawa venue is part of the History brand developed by Live Nation Canada, which launched the original History concert hall in Toronto. The new Ottawa club, located in the ByWard Market at the former Chapters building on Rideau Street, is a multimillion-dollar project with a capacity of about 2,000 people.

Canadian superstar Drake, a partner in the Toronto venue, is also involved in the Ottawa location. Like its Toronto counterpart, the venue will feature a two-level layout with a general-admission floor and balcony seating, along with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems.

The club is expected to fill a long-standing gap in Ottawa’s live music scene by offering a mid-sized venue that bridges the space between smaller clubs and arena-sized concerts.
