In This Moment are entering a new chapter with the announcement of their ninth studio album WITCH, arriving August 28 via Better Noise Music.
The band has unveiled the first taste of the new record with the release of their powerful new single “Crawl,” accompanied by an official music video.
Built around a crushing riff and the unmistakable vocals of frontwoman Maria Brink, “Crawl” showcases the intensity and theatrical edge that have become trademarks of In This Moment’s sound.
Brink describes the track as a reflection on consequences and accountability.
“‘Crawl’ is a reckoning — a reflection that those who dominate and cause pain will ultimately reap what they sow. As above, so below. The fall is inevitable. Bearing witness to the harm they inflict, the song declares that those who once stood tall will be brought to their knees.”
Guitarist and co-founder Chris Howorth adds that the song is about recognizing patterns of power and abuse while encouraging listeners to stand their ground.
WITCH will feature 11 tracks exploring the band’s signature mix of aggression, atmosphere, and emotion. The album also includes collaborations with Dayseeker on “I Want To Believe,” Kim Dracula on “Heretic,” and Kat Von D on a cover of Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd.
For Brink, WITCH represents transformation and finding strength through struggle.
“WITCH is my declaration of inner transformation. It’s about embracing the duality within — taking pain, persecution, and struggle — and alchemizing them into strength and power.”
The release marks the band’s first album since signing with Better Noise Music and follows a career that has seen In This Moment earn Grammy recognition, multi-platinum success, and a devoted global following.
WITCH arrives August 28. Pre-orders and pre-saves are available now.
