Alter Bridge’s Unforgettable Night at The History Club, Toronto

Alter Bridge brought their Pawns & Kings tour to the History stage with special guest Mammoth WVH. The line to get into the club was over 800 feet long, stretching from the entrance on Queen Street to the back of the club on Eastern Ave., with fans geared up for the long-awaited show. The crew of the History Club continues to outdo themselves with their attention to detail and perfect sound setup. From the second the doors opened to the moment Alter Bridge took the stage, the atmosphere was full of anticipation.

Opening up the show was Wolfgang Van Halen, son of rock legend Eddie Van Halen, who blew the audience away with 8 songs from his debut self-titled album. His electrifying energy and enthusiasm resonated across the club, and I felt as if I was watching a master musician at work. Wolfgang’s guitar solos were captivating, and his voice was fresh and powerful. All in all, the Mammoth WVH set was one of the best. Wolfgang Van Halen certainly did his father proud, and I am confident that he will go on to do great things in the music business. Highly recommended!

The Alter Bridge show is always an unbelievable experience. From start to finish, the band keeps the audience captivated with Mark’s powerful guitar riffs and Myles soulful vocals. The setlist was perfectly balanced between fan favorites and new songs. Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti’s partnership in music-writing continues to impress with the new Pawns & Kings album, and they showed that off beautifully to the sold-out audience. The crowd was electric, and they were singing and dancing along to every song. The highlight of the night for me was when Myles performed the song “Watching Over You” acoustically, and I sang along to every single word.

All in all, it was an amazing night to be a part of the rock and roll culture that Toronto brings every time I visit. The History Club is quickly becoming one of my favorite Toronto venues for rock shows. It was a great show, and I was glad to be a part of it. Alter Bridge put on an amazing show, and it was a night that I won’t soon forget.
