After four years of silence, multi-platinum rock band Chevelle is back and louder than ever. The band has officially announced their upcoming tenth studio album, Bright as Blasphemy, set to arrive August 15 via Alchemy Recordings.
To mark the announcement, Chevelle have shared the brand-new single “Jim Jones (Cowards, Pt. 2)”, a heavy, brooding track accompanied by a striking lyric video that continues the conceptual thread started by the spring release of “Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1).” That single has already climbed into the Top 10 at rock radio, with momentum suggesting a Top 5 placement in the coming weeks.
“History teaches us the longest rabbit hole has no end,” the band shares about the new single, leaving fans speculating about the deeper meaning behind the Cowards series.
The upcoming album, Bright as Blasphemy, showcases Chevelle’s signature blend of intense riffs, introspective lyrics, and genre-pushing experimentation. Speaking about the record, the band states:
“Human existence encompasses both inherent challenges and potential. It’s up to you how to pass the time. Enjoy.”
