When Korn unleashed See You On The Other Side in December 2005, the band was at a crossroads. It was their first album following the departure of founding guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, and it carried the weight of proving that Korn could evolve while still staying true to the sound that had made them genre-defining pioneers. Two decades later, the record stands as one of the most pivotal entries in Korn’s catalog — and now, it’s finally getting the deluxe treatment fans have been waiting for.
Tempo Music has announced a 20th Anniversary Limited Edition 2xLP vinyl release of See You On The Other Side. Fans will have their choice of four collectible variants: a blue/red blended edition exclusive to Korn’s webstore, an orange/violet Hot Topic exclusive, a magenta cloudy edition available through indie record stores, and a classic black vinyl available everywhere.
But the real surprise lies in the music. For the first time, the bonus track “Last Legal Drug” — previously tucked away on the Deluxe CD — will be pressed onto vinyl. Even better, it’s also headed to streaming services for the very first time. A digital deluxe edition of See You On The Other Side arrives November 21, just ahead of the album’s official 20th anniversary on December 6.
The album’s legacy is undeniable. Anchored by the singles “Twisted Transistor” and “Coming Undone,” Korn pushed their sound in bold new directions, fusing industrial-tinged production with the band’s trademark heaviness. The experiment paid off: the record quickly went Platinum and reaffirmed Korn’s ability to reinvent themselves in an era when nu-metal’s dominance was fading.
Tempo Music, which acquired a majority stake in Korn’s See You On The Other Side and Untitled albums in 2021, has made it a mission to reintroduce these milestones to fans in innovative ways. Last year, the label celebrated the 15th anniversary of Untitled with a glow-in-the-dark vinyl package. This time, the focus is squarely on the transitional yet triumphant energy of See You On The Other Side.
“Tempo takes great responsibility and honor in partnering with artists to provide fans engaging ways to experience these iconic catalogs,” the company shared. “We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with Korn by officially bringing See You On The Other Side to vinyl, and making Last Legal Drug available on streaming platforms for fans old and new.”
For Korn, this release is more than a trip down memory lane. It’s a reminder of their resilience and their uncanny ability to adapt to shifting tides in rock and metal. Since forming in the early ’90s, Korn have sold more than 43 million albums worldwide, earned two Grammys, and inspired countless artists across genres. And with their music still finding new audiences nearly 30 years on, See You On The Other Side’s revival feels perfectly timed.
The vinyl is available for pre-order now, but with limited-edition variants in play, longtime fans and collectors will want to act fast.
Two decades later, Korn’s other side still sounds just as vital.
