DragonForce Reveal Alissa White-Gluz as First Frontwoman, Launch New Era

Power metal giants DragonForce have officially entered a new era, announcing Alissa White-Gluz as their newest vocalist—and the first frontwoman in the band’s history.

The reveal marks a major shift for the long-running group as they prepare to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album Inhuman Rampage, the record that launched them into global recognition with the iconic single Through the Fire and Flames.

White-Gluz will make her live debut with the band this month at Welcome To Rockville on May 9, followed by Sonic Temple on May 17, kicking off what’s expected to be an extensive touring cycle throughout 2026.

Guitarist Herman Li described the addition as a turning point for the band’s future, emphasizing both the anniversary milestone and the creative evolution ahead. Alongside the celebrations, DragonForce have confirmed that a 10th studio album is currently in the works.

White-Gluz brings a deep résumé to the role, known for her work with Arch Enemy, The Agonist, and collaborations with Kamelot. Her dynamic vocal range—spanning harsh and clean styles—has already been previewed in DragonForce’s recent duet version of “Burning Heart.”

In a statement, White-Gluz expressed excitement about stepping into the role, highlighting the opportunity to explore the full range of her voice within DragonForce’s high-speed, technically demanding sound.

With anniversary shows, new music on the horizon, and a refreshed lineup, DragonForce are positioning 2026 as one of the most significant chapters in their career.
