Los Angeles-based eclectic rock outfit Spirit in the Room will hit the road later this week, joining Down and Helmet for the upcoming Strap It Down North American tour.
The tour kicks off August 15 in Atlanta, Georgia, and runs through September 2 in Chicago, Illinois. The trek includes a Toronto stop at History on August 23, followed by a Montreal date at MTELUS on August 25.
Some dates will feature Spirit in the Room alongside Helmet only.

Led by Louisiana-born, Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dennis R. Sanders, Spirit in the Room has built a sound that pulls from gothic rock, alternative music, industrial textures and heavy distortion.
There’s a dark, cinematic quality running through the project, with Sanders creating music that can shift from unsettling and brooding to aggressive and explosive. It’s a sound that fits naturally alongside the heavier world of the Strap It Down tour.
Spirit in the Room released the Passengers EP in 2024. The six-track collection features three previously unreleased songs, “Creepy Phone Calls,” “Show Me You” and “Covenant,” alongside “I Have A Heart,” “Affectionate Projectile” and “You Caught Hell,” which had previously appeared individually through YouTube, Bandcamp and SoundCloud.
The project released the Flamingo EP through Housecore Records in 2022, following earlier releases including The Holy Phobia, Pt. 1 EP, Demon and Spirit In The Room, Vol. 1.
Spirit in the Room also previously opened four Western U.S. shows for Pantera in 2023.
