Fearless Records has signed metalcore band Lost Souls Movement to its roster. The band is marking the announcement with the release of “Democracy Manifest,” its first new music since the 2025 debut album Lore.
The new single combines heavy riffs, synths, harsh vocals, clean singing and breakdowns. The track takes inspiration from the late Jack Karlson, whose arrest in Australia in the early 1990s became widely known through footage featuring his memorable remarks. The incident later became an internet meme, with several of Karlson’s phrases gaining a life of their own.
Lost Souls Movement draws on that story for a track that turns Karlson’s words into a mosh-pit-ready metalcore anthem.
“I think we are all Jack Karlson in one way or another,” the band explains. “Like, life is kind of like a Chinese restaurant and we all just want to enjoy a succulent Chinese meal without the powers that be grabbing us on the junk. Sometimes you need to make a stand and say ‘Get your hands off my penis’ and that’s exactly what this song is. Not to mention, it’s a tough as fuck pit call.”
About Lost Souls Movement
Lost Souls Movement is a five-piece metalcore band featuring Kevin on vocals, Knox on guitar and vocals, Casey on guitar, Jovi on bass, and Yosh on drums. The members describe themselves as neurodivergent kindred spirits who connected through music, skateboarding, art and their shared experiences of feeling like outsiders.
Although they share common ground, the members also have differing views on subjects including politics, science and ethics. Those differences are part of the band’s identity, informing music that explores anger, despair, peace and knowledge.
Their first release, “Childhood Died,” quickly connected with listeners and became a defining track for the group. Following the release of Lore in 2025, the band now begins its next chapter with Fearless Records and “Democracy Manifest.”
With the new signing and single, Lost Souls Movement is preparing to introduce its music and message to a wider audience.
