As Everything Unfolds, who recently announced their signing to Century Media Records, have today released a brand-new single, “WHAT YOU WANTED”, featuring Dani Winter-Bates from Bury Tomorrow.
Speaking about the track, vocalist Charlie Rolfe explains:
“Over the last two years, I’ve watched people in my life struggle with addiction, mostly related to alcohol. It’s painful to see those you love destroy themselves and feel powerless to help. I found parallels in The Shining — an allegory for alcoholism — where Jack’s family is both fearful and frustrated watching him decline. I often felt trapped in my own Overlook Hotel, trying to save someone I couldn’t. Writing this song helped me tell that story.”
Blending emotional intensity with the band’s signature mix of post-hardcore, metalcore, and alt-rock, “What You Wanted” marks another defining moment in As Everything Unfolds’ evolution.
With over 30 million streams to date and three Heavy Music Award nominations (including Best Album 2024), the band continue to push boundaries and gain global attention. Their live résumé includes appearances at Download Festival, Graspop, Wacken, and tours with Electric Callboy, Enter Shikari, Skindred, Bury Tomorrow, and Holding Absence.
Following their Century Media signing, the remainder of 2025 and beyond promise a massive new chapter for the band — with fresh music and major festival appearances ahead.
