Polish extreme metal pioneers BEHEMOTH have unleashed a visually stunning and fiercely thematic music video for their track “Nomen Barbarvm”, a standout from their critically acclaimed latest album, The Shit Ov God.
Directed by Dariusz Szermanowicz, the apocalyptic video features deeply symbolic imagery, including references to occult traditions and a deliberate subversion of religious iconography—hallmarks of BEHEMOTH’s artistic vision. Fans can expect cinematic quality with dramatic lighting, elaborate costumes, and special effects, delivering a dark, epic narrative.
Nergal comments:
“’I create as I speak.’ Isn’t that, in essence, Crowley’s ‘Do what thou wilt’—just cast in slightly different words? This idea became the lyrical leitmotif of ‘Nomen Barbarvm,’ arguably one of the most melodic, yet groove-driven tracks Behemoth have ever recorded. Soon, we’ll be testing it live on tour.
“What you’re about to see is a music video we’re immensely proud of, created in collaboration with Group 13. But you already know what that combination means—uncompromising quality and a message-art vision that doesn’t compromise!”
