Dream Theater has officially announced the release of their sixteenth studio album, Parasomnia, which will debut on February 7, 2025, via Inside Out Music/Sony Music. This highly anticipated album reunites the band’s iconic lineup—vocalist James LaBrie, guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, keyboardist Jordan Rudess, and drummer Mike Portnoy—for the first time since 2009’s Black Clouds & Silver Linings.
Parasomnia explores themes related to sleep disorders, including sleepwalking, sleep paralysis, and night terrors. The first single, “Night Terror,” along with its music video, is already available. The album spans 71 minutes and features eight tracks, from the opener “In The Arms Of Morpheus” to the 19-minute epic “The Shadow Man Incident.” The band promises a captivating musical journey, blending their signature complex rhythms and intricate arrangements.
Alongside the album release, Dream Theater embarks on their 40th Anniversary Tour, beginning October 20, 2024, in London, England, and running through March 22, 2025, concluding in New York City. North American fans can expect shows starting in February 2025, with the tour stopping at iconic venues across the continent.
