Metallica Blows the Roof Off Rogers Centre
Metallica is one of the most legendary rock bands in the world, and on Wednesday, November 12th they brought their show to Rogers Centre in Toronto. The concert was awesome and the crowd loved every minute of it, especially when they played Enter Sandman – I don’t think I have ever heard it so loud at any other concert! They also played some classics like Battery, Sad But True, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), One, and more!
Opening Act
Opening for Metallica was Avenged Sevenfold. A7X had a great stage presence with an LED stage and pyrotechnics. Their setlist included songs from their latest album The Stage, as well as some of their older material from Nightmare and Waking The Fallen.
The intro to Hardwired…to Self-Destruct
This is an album that I can’t stop listening to! It’s been a long time since Metallica has released such a heavy and aggressive album. There are some really incredible songs on this album, but overall it just sounds awesome. The sound production is also excellent, with a lot of power behind it. It feels like you’re right there in the room when they’re playing live.
The drum solo by Lars Ulrich
I have seen some excellent drum solos in my time, but I can safely say that Lars Ulrich’s solo at the Metallica concert last night was one of the best I’ve ever seen. As he pounded away with his sticks on his drums, he also did his signature head-banging, which added an extra element of intensity to an already awesome performance. When he finished up and left the stage, I could feel my ears ringing from all the noise and excitement. What a show!
Kirk Hammett
I’m not going to lie, we were a little bit nervous, said Kirk Hammett before the show. You never know what’s going to happen in Canada. But it turned out that Metallica played one of their most incredible shows ever.
James Hetfield – Can you do a back flip?
James Hetfield, frontman of Metallica, dove into the audience during their song One. He was on his back, and when he hit the ground, he tried to do a backflip–but it didn’t work. The crowd loved it.
Leaving the stage and then playing again
The band left the stage and then came back for an encore. The show was so good that I could have sworn my head was about to explode. Metallica played for over three hours with great energy, not stopping for anything other than an encore.
The epic ending with the pyrotechnics show
The show came to an end with a bang, as the band ran off stage and fireworks went off in all directions. It was a spectacular sight that left everyone feeling energized and satisfied. Metallica put on one of the best shows I’ve seen to date.
