Queen + Adam Lambert @ Scotiabank Arena, Toronto

Adam Lambert, who has toured with Queen since 2014, was a perfect complement to the hits of Freddie Mercury, Brian May and Roger Taylor. He has the look and stage presence to rival the late frontman – Lambert was decked out in sparkling silver trousers and a multicoloured, bejewelled blazer with flowing scarf-like lapels.

His voice is strong and he has an incredible range; his falsetto soars above the crowd with ease as he delivers some of Queen’s biggest hits like “Bohemian Rhapsody” or “Somebody to Love.”

Lambert is great at what he does – he is a great singer; he has a great voice; he is a great performer; he is also a good dancer which goes well with his showmanship on stage.

Queen played a lot of their hits, and the crowd knew every single word. This was evident from the first few songs of the setlist, as audience members sang along and swayed to Brian May’s guitar solos. Even though this was my first time seeing Queen perform live (and likely my last), I enjoyed myself immensely. The band sounded great—even better than on their records—and Brian May’s guitar solos had just enough distortion for me to feel like I was at a rock concert instead of listening to an album in my bedroom or car.

The audience also seemed really enthusiastic about seeing one of their favorite bands play live again after so many years away from touring; there were lots of screams whenever they got on stage or when Brian May would start playing his famous guitar riffs on “Another One Bites The Dust” or “We Will Rock You”.

This isn’t just a concert; it’s an experience. It’s something that you have to see with your own eyes to fully appreciate.

The concert was a tribute to the Queen frontman, who passed away in 1991 at age 45. It was an epic celebration of his music and legacy, including hits like “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Somebody to Love.”

The show was full of excitement from start to finish, packed with hits that everyone knew by heart. It was as close to Freddy Mercury this side of heaven we will ever get again.

Conclusion

Queen + Adam Lambert are a powerful force to be reckoned with. They were able to perform an amazing show that brought back the magic of Queen and made it new again. The concert was spectacular and left everyone wanting more – especially when Lambert sang ‘Under Pressure’ with Brian May on his Red Special guitar with a maple leaf inlay for the first time this tour.
