TORONTO — October 28, 2025 — Live Nation Canada and RBC have announced a multi-year partnership that will see Toronto’s iconic waterfront concert venue renamed the RBC Amphitheatre and transformed into a year-round live music destination by 2030.
Formerly known as Budweiser Stage, the redeveloped amphitheatre will feature expanded indoor and outdoor capabilities, upgraded amenities, and sustainable design elements developed in partnership with leading local architects and designers. The project aims to make Toronto a premier stop on the global touring circuit while providing a major boost to the regional economy.
“As a champion of the music industry across Canada, RBC is an incredible partner for us,” said Michael Rapino, President and CEO of Live Nation Entertainment. “The redevelopment of RBC Amphitheatre strengthens Toronto’s position as a global entertainment hub and a must-play city for touring artists.”
The redesigned venue will host more than 1.5 million fans annually, featuring both an open-air summer setup and a 9,000-seat indoor configuration for the winter months. Construction is set to begin in fall 2027, with phased reopenings planned for 2029 and 2030.
RBC President and CEO Dave McKay said the partnership aligns with the bank’s ongoing investment in Canadian arts and music. “RBC Amphitheatre will attract even more top performers to this beloved venue and bring fans exceptional new experiences,” McKay said. “It will also help create jobs, support local businesses, and draw more visitors to the region.”
In addition to structural upgrades such as a new pedestrian bridge, expanded food and beverage options, hospitality areas, and a lookout deck overlooking the Toronto skyline, RBC will introduce fan activation spaces, exclusive giveaways, and ticket upgrade opportunities through its RBCxMusic platform.
RBC clients will also benefit from continued access to Concert Cash® rewards and, starting in 2026, will be able to redeem Avion points for concert tickets to Live Nation Canada shows via Ticketmaster Canada.
The transformation project is being privately funded and aligns with Toronto’s Green Standard sustainability goals. Live Nation confirmed that Labatt will remain the exclusive supplier of beer and canned cocktails at the venue.
When complete, the reimagined RBC Amphitheatre will combine the venue’s signature open-lawn charm and lakefront setting with modern amenities designed for fans, artists, and the community — marking a new era for live music in Toronto.
