Megadeth Shakes Toronto with Seismic Performance

Megadeth rocked Toronto this weekend with an incredible live performance at the Budweiser Stage! The band, which formed in 1983, performed all of their classic hits, including Symphony of Destruction and Hangar 18, to name just a few. Fans were very excited to see Megadeth play their first Canadian concert in seven years and completely filled the venue. In fact, the show was so exciting that three fans were injured by crowd surfing and moshing!

A Quick History of Megadeth
Megadeth is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California. The group was formed in 1983 and went on to release 14 albums over their decades-long career. The group has sold more than 50 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time.

One Dimensional Dave Mustaine’s Early Career
Dave Mustaine, lead guitarist and founder of Megadeth, started his career in Metallica. He left the band for personal reasons and founded Megadeth in 1983. With their first album released in 1985, the band’s sound has been described as thrash metal. They have released 12 studio albums, sold 25 million records worldwide, and have had two Grammy nominations.

The Rise of Megadeth
Dave Mustaine, the lead guitarist and frontman of Megadeth, has been with the band since its formation in 1983. Alongside bassist Dave Ellefson and drummer Shawn Drover, Megadeth have made some of the most well-known thrash metal music in history. The trio have released 12 albums through their own record label, which includes the 1986 album Peace Sells… but Who’s Buying? and the 1990 album Rust in Peace.

Enduring Success in an Ever-Changing Music World
As a band, Megadeth’s been in it for the long haul and has endured success in an ever-changing music world. The band was formed in 1983 by frontman Dave Mustaine following his dismissal from Metallica. Since then, Megadeth has had one of the most successful and influential careers of any heavy metal band. They have sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and scored eight consecutive platinum or multi-platinum albums between 1991 and 2003 without any lineup changes.
