The Revenge of Alice Cooper – The Original Band Returns After 50 Years

For the first time in over five decades, the original Alice Cooper band has reunited to release a brand-new studio album, The Revenge of Alice Cooper. Heralded as a spiritual successor to legendary records like School’s Out, Billion Dollar Babies, Love It to Death, and Killer, the album captures the chemistry and theatrical punch that defined the group’s rise to fame.

Despite the time apart, the band members insist that their songwriting and sound remain unchanged. “We still write the same. We still sound the same,” Alice notes. “When I sing with this band, I sing entirely different… because the band plays heavier.”

The studio reunion felt seamless. Years melted away as the band reconnected with their instinctive musical language—each member anticipating the other without needing a glance. “We don’t really have to look at each other. We prefer not to,” they joked.

Produced by longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, considered the group’s “sixth member,” the album promises to be their best-produced work to date. Ezrin’s keen ear and collaborative spirit helped the band mine forgotten riffs and cassette tapes—including one featuring late guitarist Glenn Buxton. Thanks to Ezrin’s production wizardry, Glenn’s parts now feature on one of the album’s standout tracks, preserving his legacy within the band’s sound.

The new album celebrates everything that made the original Alice Cooper group unique: boundary-pushing theatricality, twisted humor, and a refusal to follow musical trends. “We never once listened to Top 40 and said, ‘Oh, we’ve got to do that,’” the band affirms. “We made our hit records on our own terms.”

The Revenge of Alice Cooper doesn’t just resurrect a legacy—it builds on it, spiraling into unexpected directions while staying rooted in the group’s explosive 70s energy. As Alice puts it: “It goes left, right, up, down—and in the end, you will love it. It will absolutely change your life… and your underwear.”
