Music Monday: A Recap of Deep Purple’s performance in Hamilton
The band Deep Purple recently performed in Hamilton at the FirstOntario Centre, and my friend bought me tickets as an early Christmas gift. While I’ve heard of the band before, this was my first time attending one of their live shows. Here’s how the night went!
The Venue
The FirstOntario Centre is a 20,000-seat venue located in downtown Hamilton, Ontario. It was originally built to be the home of the NHL’s Hamilton Tigers, but it has since hosted many other sporting events and concerts.
The Show
We had the privilege to see the iconic band, Deep Purple, on Sunday night at FirstOntario Centre. I hadn’t seen them live since they were touring with their Perfect Strangers album way back in 1984, and I was curious to see what their setlist would be like.
The Experience
For a band that has been around for over 50 years, Deep Purple put on a pretty good show. I was able to see them from the floor, and the sound quality was pretty decent. The best part about the show was that they played Lazy for the encore and everyone got up to dance. It was definitely a memorable night.
Overall Rating
One night that I had been really looking forward to was Friday, November 24th, where the rock band Deep Purple was playing at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton. I had heard about them for years but never got a chance to see them live, and this time it finally happened. It is always nice when you have an opportunity to go see a show with your parents because they are usually more chill and not as rowdy as if you went with a group of friends.
The Setlist is down below and don’t forget to leave a comment 🙂
