The crowd was getting more and more excited as the band started to play. The first song of the night was “Firepower,” one of the best tracks from their latest album. With its heavy guitar riffs and powerful vocals, this song is a great way to start off any concert.
The band’s performance was then followed by “Metal Gods,” another classic song that has been played by many other bands like Iron Maiden and Helloween (KISS tribute band). You could feel the energy flowing through every inch of your body while singing along with Rob Halford during this number. After hearing these two songs back-to-back, it became obvious why they are considered pioneers in heavy metal music!
The last time Judas Priest were in Hamilton was back in 2010. Touring in support of Redeemer of souls, the band have not perform here since then.

With so much time between their last appearance, the heavy metal fans were more than ready to see them again. The crowd was very energetic and excited to see the band perform their classic songs as well as some new ones like Lightning strike, Never the heroes and Traitors Gate.

The band played all their best hits including Painkiller and Hell bent for leather. They also had a drum solo that brought everyone to their feet with excitement!
The stage setup was incredible and packed with over 50 Marshall amps on both sides of the stage. With so many lights and effects, there was something interesting happening at each moment during their set list.

- Fire: One of my favorite moments was when they played “Firepower” and a wall of flames shot up behind them as they played on top of it. It made me feel like I was watching a badass music video from the 1980s!
- Lights: The lighting was pretty spectacular as well—with lasers constantly shooting across the venue, fog machines creating atmosphere throughout most songs, and even fireworks for “Painkiller.” It felt like an otherworldly experience every time I looked into the crowd because there were so many bright colors shining off people’s faces (and phones!).
Playing all the big songs like Breaking the law, Living after midnight, Hell bent for leather and You’ve got another thing coming, they got the crowd singing along while they headbang and jump to all their heavy metal tunes.
It was an amazing show to say the least, playing all the big songs like Breaking the law, Living after midnight, Hell bent for leather and You’ve got another thing coming, they got the crowd singing along while they headbang and jump to all their heavy metal tunes. The concert also featured some of their new songs that have been released on their latest album Firepower. It was a great night with good music and even better company. The band seemed very happy with how everything went on stage as well as off stage!
Surprising everyone with another new song called Spectre, it has a much more modern sound which shows that their younger guitarist Richie Faulkner had an influence on this new album Firepower which should be out on March 9th via Epic Records.

There are many other great songs from Judas Priest’s setlist like Metal Gods, Breaking the Law and Night Crawler. It was their first show since February 25th when they played at the Forum in Montreal but for me it was worth the wait to see them perform here again. I would recommend checking out this show if you can because it is one of their best tours ever!
Conclusion
Overall this was an incredible show and we can’t wait to see them again.
