Gigs from God: An Evening with GodSmack at Budweiser Gardens
This past weekend in London Ontario, Canada, I experienced one of the best concert experiences of my life. GodSmack was in town performing at Budweiser Gardens and I had an absolute blast from beginning to end! If you ever get the chance to catch these guys on stage, I highly recommend it! These guys have been hard at work rocking out since the early 90s, and they haven’t missed a step yet! The band was awesome and put on an amazing show. The venue was great and definitely lends itself to some serious moshing fun!

Godsmack is an American alternative metal band from Lawrence, Massachusetts. Cryin’ Like A Bitch (If You Want Blood)
I was fortunate enough to see my favourite band of all time, the mighty Godsmack, live and in person on Wednesday night. I had been waiting for this show for years and it exceeded all of my expectations. From start to finish this show was a headbanging, fist-pumping affair that left me wanting more.
Straight Out Of Line
Last night, I had the opportunity to go see one of my all-time favourite bands – Godsmack. I had been waiting for this moment since I was in high school, and it didn’t disappoint. They played a mix of old songs and new ones and have apparently just released a new album called 1000hp that came out on July 15th.
Fuel Injected
The first band to come on was the opening act, Stitched Up Heart. The theatre was dark, and the lights were dimmed as they stepped onto the stage. They are a hard rock/metal band that has been around since 2010 when they started making music together. They have put out five albums and have toured all over the world. If you like metal, then this is a band for you!
Faceless Man
Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect when I got to the venue. The stage was set up in front of a huge screen that read Godsmack. Immediately I knew this would be a loud and rowdy show. When they took the stage, you could tell they were totally into it. Sully’s voice is so powerful and his guitar playing is amazing! You can tell he’s been doing this for a while now.
I Stand Alone
The band came out to a thunderous roar of the audience, who were ready for a night of heavy metal. The crowd was up on their feet and singing along to every word as the band played through their setlist. After being on the road for so long, it must have been a relief to play in front of people who know you and love your music. The energy in the room was infectious and everyone seemed to be having a great time.
