Raising the Roof: In this Moment’s Electrifying Performance at The Danforth Music Hall, Toronto

I recently had the pleasure of going to see In This Moment at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, which included Motionless in White, Avatar, and Gemini Syndrome as special guests. At the time, I wasn’t familiar with any of the bands on the lineup except for GEMINI SYNDROME, who were the opening act. I was even scheduled to do a meet and greet with GEMINI SYNDROME prior to the concert, but it was cancelled for some unknown reason. Despite that setback, I still had a great time.

It was a night to remember seeing In This Moment live in concert! The room was filled with vibrantly colored lighting and thick smoke, setting the mood for a hard-rocking performance. Maria Brink dazzled the crowd with her serpentine moves and stunning vocal range. Her performance was the centerpiece of the night, and the rock-solid backing band provided the perfect backdrop.

The band took the audience on a musical journey with their setlist of both new and classic material. Tracks like ‘Blood’ and ‘Black Widow’ had the crowd singing along and pumping their fists in the air. We got to hear Chris Howorth switch out his fantastic guitar solos across the stage with fellow guitarist Randy Weitzel. The audience was mesmerized by the musicianship and energy of the entire ensemble.

At various points in between songs, Maria Brink took time to speak to the crowd, hearing their reactions and thanking them for their support. There were several wardrobe changes throughout the evening, as well as changes to the stage set and props. Every moment kept us captivated, and we were completely absorbed in the experience.

The show ended with an encore of In the Air Tonight (Phil Collins cover) and Whore (with ‘Natural Born Sinner’ intro). I am now a fan of all four bands after seeing how amazing they can all be on stage together. It was an absolutely electrifying performance by all four bands, and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending that everyone see In This Moment. It was one of the best metal concerts I’ve ever been to in some time, and I can’t wait to experience it again! I definitely recommend checking out this tour if it comes to your city!
