The Dead Daisies Deliver an Exceptional Performance in Toronto

Rock and roll music never dies, and neither does the enthusiasm that fans have for live shows by their favorite bands. The Dead Daisies brought that electrifying energy to Toronto last night as they were joined by guitarist Doug Aldrich (whom also played with Whitesnake, Dio, Michael Schenker Group, Asia, etc) and vocalist John Corabi (former lead singer of Mötley Crüe). The result was an exceptional evening of rock and roll entertainment which sold out two shows in the same night at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, Toronto on Saturday May 18th 2017.

The Band
This band delivers pure rock and roll, with a sound that is not just unforgettable, but also timeless. Live performances are what this band was made for. Their raw energy and skill set make them one of the best live bands on the planet. It’s been said they’re like Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones and Mötley Crüe all wrapped up into one band.
Their latest album, Make Some Noise is their most successful to date.

Front Man John Corabi
John Corabi’s voice was mesmerizing. If you didn’t know that he was a lead singer of the hard rock band Mötley Crüe, you wouldn’t be able to tell. Corabi’s talents were showcased beautifully with every song, and it seemed as if the entire concert hall fell silent just to hear him sing.

Drummer extraordinaire Deen Castronovo
Deen Castronovo, drummer extraordinaire and founding member of the band Journey, is most famous for co-writing and performing on the hit songs Don’t Stop Believin’, Stone In Love, Faithfully, Open Arms, Separate Ways (Worlds Apart), and more. He has also been a member of the bands Toto and Bad English. The Dead Daisies are lucky to have such a talented musician with them on tour!

Bassist Marco Mendoza
Marco Mendoza is the bassist for The Dead Daisies, which has performed with members of Deep Purple, Whitesnake and Black Sabbath. A veteran of the music industry, Mendoza has been playing with The Dead Daisies since they formed in 2011 and they’ve toured all over the world. Mendoza’s performance was awe-inspiring: he played with a conviction that made it seem like he was trying to communicate his emotions through his instrument.

Guitarist Doug Aldrich
Doug Aldrich and his bandmates, David Lowy (bass), Marco Mendoza (guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards) and Brian Tichy (drums), took the stage to a thunderous applause. The first song the band played was Jailbreak by Thin Lizzy, which would set the tone for the rest of the concert.

Guitarist David Lowy
David Lowy is the lead guitarist and vocalist for The Dead Daisies. He’s also a founding member of INXS and has been involved in multiple other projects including frontman for The Mission. David has a distinctive guitar style with a strong R&B/Soul influence which can be heard on hits like Don’t Change, This Time, and Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing.
