UK-based collective PRESIDENT have officially released their highly anticipated debut album, Blood of Your Empire, today, September 4, via Atlantic Records.
The band is also marking the album’s arrival with the release of the new single “Sleepwalker.”
Blood of Your Empire arrives on the same day PRESIDENT launch their first-ever North American headline tour, which is completely sold out. The tour kicks off tonight at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville and will make stops in St. Louis, Chicago, Brooklyn, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles and more before wrapping up October 14 at House of Blues in Dallas. Showing Teeth will provide support on select dates.
PRESIDENT previously embarked on their first full U.S. tour earlier this year as support for Bad Omens, building on the intrigue surrounding a band that has operated under a cloak of minimalism and anonymity since launching in 2025.
The band describes Blood of Your Empire as a deeply personal record exploring belief, mortality, humanity and the complicated history of religion.
“Blood Of Your Empire was born out of my own struggle with existential crisis and trying to make sense of belief, mortality, and humanity’s relationship with faith,” PRESIDENT explains.
The album’s artwork features Eugène Delacroix’s The Battle of Poitiers, a historic painting that hangs in the Louvre.
Since emerging in 2025, PRESIDENT have continued to build intrigue with each release and live appearance, deliberately avoiding traditional expectations surrounding genre and identity. Rather than relying on conventional presentation, the band has placed its focus on intent, atmosphere and the music itself.
