Save Us Join Solid State/Tooth & Nail Records, Drop Emotional Debut “Bruised”

Solid State / Tooth & Nail Records has officially welcomed Save Us, an alternative rock and metal group formed in 2023, to its growing global roster.

The international lineup — featuring members from England and California — have made their debut with the single and video for “Bruised”. The track opens with a somber piano melody and haunting vocals that glide from delicate falsetto to visceral screams, weaving through a storm of metallic energy and industrial grit. Fans of The Plot in You, Dayseeker, and Bad Omens will find familiar emotion channeled through a darker, cinematic lens.

Running just under three minutes, the video for “Bruised” makes every second count. The lyrics feel deeply human — weary, vulnerable, and searching for release. Lines like “I’ve been bruised enough / bruised, I’m rough with every touch” and “You’ll never understand the pain I’m made of” hit with a quiet honesty that lingers long after the song ends.

“‘Bruised’ came together surprisingly fast, almost like it was waiting to be written,” the band explains. “We’ve always tried to explore human emotion and experience in our music, and with this track, we feel like we tapped into something raw and real. There’s an honesty in it that we believe people will connect with. For us, it captures a very special moment in the band’s journey.”

Save Us are currently working on their upcoming debut album, set for release in 2026, with Landon Tewers of The Plot in You producing.

Save Us Are:

  • Miguel Owls — Vocals
  • Chris Biddiscombe — Guitar
  • Benji Havercroft — Drums
