Autumn Kings Announce New Album Epiphanies, Release Powerful New Single “Become Numb”

Canadian rock duo Autumn Kings have officially announced their long-awaited new album, Epiphanies, arriving September 18, while unveiling the emotionally charged new single “Become Numb.” The project also marks a major career milestone for the Ontario duo as their first full-length release under independent rock powerhouse Hopeless Records, and easily their most ambitious body of work to date.

Accompanying the announcement is the album’s eye-catching cover art, which places the band in silhouette against a blazing golden backdrop inside what appears to be an abandoned industrial space. The minimalist design gives Epiphanies a cinematic feel while reinforcing the album’s bold, atmospheric presentation.

The new album follows a breakout run that has seen Autumn Kings continue their ascent on the rock charts. Epiphanies features the band’s recent hit singles Gone, Gone, Gone,” along with Hellbound and Sleep When I’m Dead,” both of which climbed into the Top 20 on the Active Rock charts. The success of those tracks has helped establish the Ontario duo as one of Canada’s fastest-rising names in modern rock.

Alongside the album announcement comes Become Numb,” a genre-blending anthem that explores the struggle of feeling trapped by intrusive thoughts and emotional paralysis. Rather than offering an easy resolution, the song embraces the discomfort of being caught in a downward spiral.

Speaking about the new record, the band shared their excitement:

“We have been keeping this under wraps for the longest time and are beyond excited to tell you that our new album Epiphanies drops September 18. It’s the first album we ever put out under a record label and by far the body of work we are most proud of.”

Discussing the inspiration behind “Become Numb,” Autumn Kings explained that the song reflects the difficulty of breaking free from overwhelming thoughts and emotions.

“Become Numb speaks to the feeling of being trapped in your own mind… Unlike most of the songs on this record, we didn’t flip the script into a heroic exercise of individual sovereignty to break the chains of despair. Instead we just sat with the feeling of being entangled, stuck.”

The duo also revealed that the track takes unexpected musical inspiration from Arctic Monkeys, blending elements of funk, rap, rock, metal, ska, and world music while remaining rooted in hard rock. According to the band, it may even be their favorite song on the album.

Following the album’s release, Autumn Kings will hit the road on some of the biggest shows of their career, joining Black Veil Brides and ARCHERS on select dates as they continue building momentum behind Epiphanies.

Epiphanies arrives September 18, with pre-orders available now. Fans can also stream Become Numb today on all major digital platforms.
