Hamilton, Ontario — A new era for live entertainment is taking shape downtown as TD Coliseum prepares to open its doors in late 2025. The reimagined, 18,000-seat venue promises to deliver premium concerts, sports, and community events as part of a major redevelopment led by Oak View Group (OVG).
On Wednesday, TD Bank Group announced a multi-year naming rights agreement to transform the historic Hamilton Arena into a state-of-the-art facility. The project includes a full modernization of the façade, upgraded acoustics, enhanced sightlines, new premium seating, and next-generation self-serve technology for food and beverage services.
“We are proud to take part in the revitalization of this iconic landmark,” said Raymond Chun, Group President and CEO of TD Bank Group. “By securing the naming rights to TD Coliseum, we’re investing in the heart of the Hamilton community.”
The partnership between TD, OVG, and Live Nation Canada aims to position TD Coliseum as one of the region’s premier entertainment destinations. Confirmed upcoming performances include Andrea Bocelli (Dec. 9, 2025), Brad Paisley (Dec. 12, 2025), and the 55th Annual JUNO Awards, broadcast live on CBC from the venue on March 29, 2026.
Adding to the excitement, celebrity chef Matty Matheson will introduce The Iron Cow Public House, a full-service in-arena restaurant and bar set to be one of the venue’s signature features.
“TD Coliseum represents the next chapter for live music in Hamilton and the Golden Horseshoe,” said Riley O’Connor, Chairman of Live Nation Canada. “Artists and fans will have an unforgettable experience.”
OVG officials say the design emphasizes comfort and community, featuring redesigned suites and lounges, advanced lighting and production facilities, and improved network and security systems — all built to redefine the live event experience in Hamilton.
