One of the Best Kept Secrets in Toronto: Lee Aaron @ The Rockpile
If you’re looking for an amazing live music experience in Toronto, look no further than Lee Aaron at The Rockpile! Music legend Lee Aaron has been on the Canadian music scene since the late 1970s, and she’s still going strong today with her latest album Metal Queen released in 2018. Even if you’re not familiar with her work, you’ve probably heard her voice before; she’s provided the vocals for more than 70 songs featured in movies, television shows, and commercials – even an episode of The Simpsons!
What’s your story?
Lee Aaron at The Rockpile is an unassuming neighbourhood restaurant on a residential street in North York. Once inside, you’ll be met with a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a diverse menu that features both pub classics and interesting fusion dishes.
I had their popular burger for lunch one day, which I can attest to being one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It was juicy and flavourful, with plenty of toppings that complemented each other beautifully.
Is she more than just a rocker chick?
Lee’s a great guitarist who really knows how to rock out. With her high energy, she’ll keep you on your feet and dancing until the end of the show. If you’re looking for something a bit more mellow, she’s also got some acoustic sets that are perfect for lounging around and relaxing with friends. Her shows are accessible to all ages and I would recommend checking her out if you haven’t yet!
I’m Drew, the founder and editor of Front of the Stage. I have a strong love for music and photography, which started at a very young age. There’s just something I love about experiencing live music and capturing memories that will last a lifetime, and that’s how Front of the Stage came to be.
