Def Leppard @ Molson Amphitheatre, Toronto

Def Leppard Rocked the Budweiser Stage in Toronto!

The Budweiser Stage in Toronto was the place to be on July 19, as music legend Def Leppard brought their summer tour to this great Canadian city! The show’s special guests were Tesla and REO Speedwagon, both of which put on fantastic shows! The headliners didn’t disappoint, performing many of their best-known hits. From Pour Some Sugar on Me to Love Bites to Armageddon It, Def Leppard certainly gave the fans everything they wanted and more! Rock & roll will never die!!

So what is a Def Leppard concert like?
The band came out and opened with Rock Rock (Til You Drop), which was a perfect way to start. The audience was so into it that they were singing along before the first verse even began. The next song, When Love and Hate Collide, sounded great as always.

The best live band ever
The venue was so packed, it was hard to see anything. Def Leppard rocked the Budweiser stage for 2 hours. We were able to get a good view from our seats and watch them play classics like Pour Some Sugar on Me and Rock of Ages. I had a great time singing along with everyone else.

When you stand near the speakers
I had a chance to see Def Leppard live at the Budweiser Stage on July 3, 2018. It was my first time seeing them live and I have to say that it was an amazing experience. The concert started with Rock of Ages and I couldn’t help but sing along. They played oldies like Pour Some Sugar on Me, Photograph, Animal, and more. They also played new songs from their album, which was released last year.

Joe Elliott
Def Leppard rocked the Budweiser stage last Saturday night, July 15th. After an opener from The Dirty Nil and a short set change, we were treated to 2+ hours of the Scottish rockers’ greatest hits including Pour Some Sugar on Me, Photograph, Rock of Ages and many more. Joe Elliott was as charismatic as ever, interacting with fans and enjoying himself throughout. If you have a chance to catch them on tour this summer do not miss out!

Phil Collen
I had seen Def Leppard a few times before and I have to say this was the best show yet. The energy that was coming from their performance was incredible. It seemed like every song they played was an encore, but I didn’t mind as it meant that we got to hear all of their best songs. My favorite moment of the night came during Hysteria when Phil Collen got on his knees and then proceeded to get up and play a solo on his guitar with his teeth.

Vivian Campbell
The show opened with Rocket and a light show that filled the venue, but it was not until Animal that we knew we were in for a show.
Each song followed suit with powerful guitar solos and iconic melodies, accompanied by drums and bass that powered through each song.
Throughout the entire performance, Vivian Campbell was flawless and brought such energy to each song.

Rick Allen, the human metronome
Rick Allen has been Def Leppard’s drummer since 1978. He was born with a congenital condition called Amniotic Band Syndrome which resulted in his left arm being shorter than his right. He overcame that obstacle to become one of the best drummers of all time – not just for rock and roll, but for any genre of music.

A two hour adrenaline rush
It is not often that you get to see a rock band of Def Leppard’s caliber, let alone when they are in your own backyard. After an excruciatingly long time waiting, I finally got to see them live on stage and it was nothing short of amazing. From their opening performance of Rock On to their last song Pour Some Sugar On Me, Def Leppard did not disappoint. Their high-energy performance was contagious and had us all rocking out for two hours straight.

Stay after the show for an encore!
We were lucky enough to stay after the show for an encore. The band came back on stage and played ‘Rocket’ from their debut album, On Through The Night (1980). It was one of my favorite songs so it was great to be able to hear it live.

Maybe they will play Pour Some Sugar On Me?
Def Leppard is a British rock band that formed in 1977. They are most well known for their 1987 album, Hysteria, and their 1988 song, Pour Some Sugar On Me. I had never seen them live before so when I found out they were playing on July 21st at the Budweiser Stage, I knew I had to go. The show was amazing and seeing all of my favorite songs performed live by an incredible band was a dream come true.
