L.A. Guns Live in Toronto: Rock ‘n’ Roll at Its Best
On Wednesday, April 26, I went to The Rockpile in Toronto to see L.A. Guns perform . The venue itself was an intimate one and the stage was relatively small compared to other venues I have been to (for example, Budweiser Stage). This did not take away from the experience, though; L.A. Guns delivered their brand of Rock ‘n’ Roll at its best (their words) and it was awesome! They played all their great hits such as Rip and Tear, No Mercy, and Kiss My Love Goodbye that got the audience pumped up in no time!
Singer Phil Lewis showed off his iconic stage presence
Phil Lewis, lead singer of L.A. Guns, is a classic rock star with a true stage presence. He engaged the audience throughout the night and played with his band mates as if they were all lifelong friends; it was as if you were seeing them rehearse for the first time live on stage! I was impressed by how genuinely happy he was to perform and equally so by how happy his fans were to see him perform!
Guitarist Tracii Guns delivered high-energy riffs to amp up the crowd
No one rocks the guitar like Tracii Guns. The L.A. Guns front man churns out hard-hitting riffs that are guaranteed to make you want to shake your ass and head bang simultaneously (think of it as a combination of Mötley Crüe and Metallica). And on Friday night, he delivered with a high-energy set that rocked The Rockpile like its name suggests it should be.
The Setlist is down below and don’t forget to leave a comment 🙂
